Workshop: Introduction to the work of the Blind Summit Theatre company _____  Given by Mark Down (United Kingdom)

This is an animation workshop for table puppets — colloquially called bunraku, according to the manner in which the famous English company, Blind Summit Theatre, does it. The animation will be shared between three people around one puppet, with an emphasis on topics such as focus, breathing, and fixed perspective, and the fundamental principles on how to breathe "life" into an object. Through practical exercises, workshop participants will study improvisation, characters, and stories.

Mark Down is considered one of the most important puppeteers in the United Kingdom, with a long history and experience in theaters and festivals of international renown.

Activity aimed primarily at the participants in La Incubadora.
